RBI's Reference Rate for Dollar Today
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Wednesday fixed the reference rate for the US dollar at 50.5935 rupees and the euro 67.1366 rupees.

To accept handouts is, at least initially, inwardly demeaning. You don't feel right about it. You know you can do more. Yet the cry of the Valkyries -- bills -- is demanding. If the choice is help or homelessness, you really have no choice.
The corresponding rates of dollar and euro for the previous day (March 20, 2012) were 50.2545 rupees and 66.5226 rupees respectively.
Based on the reference rate for the US dollar and middle rates of the cross-currency quotes, the exchange rates of British pound as against the rupee is 80.3425 as against 79.3721 on the previous day (March 20, 2012) and that of Japanese yen is 60.44 as against 60.12 the previous day.
