Lava Iris 351 packs all possible features which a budget smartphone should posses, but the only drawback is its operating system. Iris 351 sports an outdated mobile OS Android V2.3.5 Gingerbread; while all other low-cost smartphones have moved on to more interface friendly Android V4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

Few weeks ago, Lava had released a mid-range  smartphone series, Iris 501, which ran on Android v4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich OS that is powered by a powerful dual-core processor with 1GHz clock speed. The handset was priced ₹9,999.
