The Taiwan handset maker - HTC, teases its next flagship smartphone in its website by adding a countdown clock for the upcoming event in New York City.

The company has stayed mum about what it will be launching on February 19th event. But it is likely to unveil its next flagship smartphone under One series, which is already rumored as HTC M7.

The website flashes a special effect whenever the countdown timer ends with number '1'. The number flashes with green color, which itself indicates that the company will be introducing a One series smartphone.

The countdown clock also offers hint of an actual device with a background video every time the number '1' in the clock turns green. The video shows some parts of the phone in blurred effect including edges of ether sides, rear and front case of the device.

According to rumors, the next flagship smartphone which is touted as M7 will be powered with a Quad-Core processor with 1.7 GHz clock speed paired with 2GB of RAM memory and will operate on Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system along with updated version of HTC Sense user interface (UI).

It is reported that the device will offer a huge 4.7 inch screen with 1920 X 1080 pixel resolution (468 ppi density), 13 megapixel camera at the back, 2 megapixel front facing camera, 32GB of internal storage and runs on 2,300 mAh battery. If the rumors are to be believed, the device will feature a slim body.
