Google has fixed the YouTube video playback issue and videos are once again working on the BlackBerry devices that are running 7 or 7.1 operating system, according to the latest report from CrackBerry.

The website cited "If you were having issues watching YouTube videos on your BlackBerry phone (the issues began this past Thursday, only messing up OS 7.1 / 7 devices), give it a go now. Things should be working per usual once again."

The BlackBerry fan site reported earlier that users of BlackBerry OS 7 or 7.1 devices were not able to view YouTube videos on their devices using the YouTube app.

According to the earlier report, many BlakBerry users were able to search videos on YouTube, but they were not able to play them. While for the users with older BlackBerry OS 5 or 6, as well as the newest BlackBerry 10 OS, YouTube app worked fine on their device.

Before Google fixed the issue, many users suggested workarounds in the Crackberry forums to watch YouTube videos. One option was to download Opera mobile browser, which allows one to watch YouTube videos, but with lower quality. The second option was to share video link to email using the app and then view high definition video from the link in your email.
